Who can enroll
Florida residents with an eligible immigration status who do not have affordable coverage through an employer or Medicare. Florida did not expand Medicaid, so the Marketplace is the main option for most working families, self-employed people and small businesses.
Subsidies in 2027
The subsidy (premium tax credit) is calculated from your income and your household size. For 2027 it applies to households between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level. The enhanced subsidies of 2021–2025 no longer exist, so every family's amount changed and needs to be recalculated, not assumed.
Bronze, Silver, Gold
- Bronze: lowest premium, highest deductible. For people who rarely use their insurance.
- Silver: the only tier where cost-sharing reductions apply if your income is under 250% of the poverty level. For most of our clients it is the best value.
- Gold: higher premium, lower costs when you use the plan. For people with ongoing treatment.
2027 dates
- November 1, 2026: Open Enrollment begins.
- December 15, 2026: last day to enroll for coverage starting January 1.
- January 15, 2027: Open Enrollment ends (coverage starting February 1).
Documents you will need
- ID and immigration document for each person enrolling.
- Social Security numbers.
- Estimated 2027 income (pay stubs, 1099s, your 2025 tax return).
- The names of your doctor and your medications, to check the network.
Agent authorization (new since October 2026)
The Marketplace now requires you to authorize your agent in writing every year before they can make changes to your account. It is a protection for you. If you are an RTM client, you will receive the official link by text message and email from the agency.
