Marketplace health insurance in Texas

We help families in Texas enroll in and renew their 2027 health plan through Healthcare.gov, at no additional cost for our help. Everything by phone, WhatsApp and e-signature.

Cities we serve in Texas

Houston and Harris County, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley. Texas uses the federal Marketplace (Healthcare.gov), the same one as Florida, so the process is identical to what we have been doing for more than ten years.

Hospitals and networks in Texas

Networks vary a great deal by county. In Houston the reference systems are Houston Methodist, Memorial Hermann and HCA; in Dallas–Fort Worth, Baylor Scott & White, Texas Health and Medical City; in San Antonio, Methodist Healthcare and University Health. Not every plan includes every hospital. Before you choose, we confirm that your doctor and your hospital are in the network.

2027 subsidy in Texas

The subsidy depends on your income and household size (100%–400% of the federal poverty level), not on the state. What changes in Texas is the price of the plans by county and which carriers participate in your area. Use the calculator to see whether your household is in the eligible range and then we compare the specific plans in your county. None of the five states where we are licensed expanded Medicaid. That means if your household income falls below 100% of the federal poverty level, you may not qualify for a Marketplace subsidy or for Medicaid as an adult. There are exceptions that depend on your case, which is why we review your income with you before submitting anything.

How we serve you from Miami

Just like our families in Florida: you never have to come to an office. A Texas-licensed agent reviews your case by phone, we send the documents for e-signature, and we stay with you after you enroll, whenever there is an issue with the carrier or the Marketplace.

Frequently asked questions

Is RTM Brokers part of the government?

No. We are a private, licensed insurance agency in Florida, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. The Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) belongs to the government; we help you use it correctly and we stay with you after you enroll.

How much does RTM Brokers charge?

You pay nothing extra for our help. Insurance carriers compensate us when you enroll, and you pay exactly the same premium you would pay enrolling on your own.

When is Open Enrollment for 2027?

November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027. For coverage starting January 1, you must enroll by December 15, 2026.

What changed with the subsidies?

The enhanced subsidies in place since 2021 ended on December 31, 2025. The standard premium tax credit is still available for households between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level, subject to eligibility. That is why we recommend recalculating your case every year instead of letting your plan auto-renew.

Does enrolling in the Marketplace affect my immigration status?

Using the Marketplace with your own eligible status is not considered a public charge. Every case is different; we review it with you before submitting the application.

What is the agent authorization CMS requires starting October 2026?

It is a new Marketplace rule: every year you must authorize in writing the agent who manages your account before that agent can make changes. It protects your account from agents you do not know. We send you the official link by text message and email.

Can I enroll outside of Open Enrollment?

Yes, if you have a qualifying life event: loss of coverage, a move, marriage, a birth, a change in income, among others. You have 60 days from the event.

Your 2027 plan should not renew on autopilot.

Subsidies are recalculated every year. A 12-minute call with our licensed agents can change what you pay in 2027.
